Deep Blue with hints of purple describe the color of this iolite cushion single stone. It is similar to tanzanite in color but has a ‘midnight’ quality to its color and is less expensive. Like tanzanite it does not like sudden temperature changes. This faceted gem measures 8.0x10.0mm weighs 2.48cts. These are not heat treated as they come by their color naturally and are mined in Tanzania.
