OPL Pocket Size Diffraction Grading Spectroscope. It has fixed slit and fixed focus, with a 600 lines per millimeter fine quality diffraction grating and is smaller than the OPL Teaching Spectroscope. The spectroscope is constructed of stainless steel and black acetol and comes packed in a blue lined transparent case. It measures 55mm long, 12.5mm wide, and weighs 31 grams.
The OPL spectroscope has been used throughout the world for more than 35 years and is recognized and respected by gemmologists and gemological teaching centers worldwide. It is an instrument for a small gemological "mini-lab" kit or is easily carried in a pocket or handbag.
